Open to product design roles

I design around how people behave, not how we hope they will.

Psychology is my obsession and product design is where I use it. My background in front-end and engineering keeps my designs buildable.

From precision engineering to product design.

Dumitru Ciugunov, standing in a field at dusk.

I've always been curious about why people do what they do. I read a lot of psychology, and the part of design I enjoy most is when people do something that surprises me. That's usually where the real problem is hiding.

Before design, I spent three years as a CNC machine technician, designing parts in AutoCAD, Siemens NX and SolidWorks, where a small mistake wastes real material. Then I moved into front-end development and built websites, including for a global transportation company. So I know what a design costs to build.

I'm an overthinker, and I've learned to point that at the work. I question my own decisions before anyone else has to, and I'd rather hear "this doesn't work" early than find out after launch. Feedback is part of how I work, not something I defend against.
